Stronaba croft sits in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the view from the cottage front window takes the eye across the croft fields to small hillocks beyond and then to the tall Loch Lochy mountains. The entrance to Glean Cia-aig, a steep sided valley above the Dark Mile can be seen as a low point in these distant mountains and gives the cottage its name. It is a peaceful setting which appeals to many of our guests who live and work in larger towns or cities.
Fort William and the wider Lochaber area are linked with some of the most significant, and darkest points, in Scottish history.
It has some of the highest mountains , including Ben Nevis, and the access points to some of our biggest wilderness areas. More recently skiing and mountain biking at Nevis Range have become big attractions.
The area’s claim to the Outdoor Capital title is fitting and Glencaig Self Catering Holiday Cottage is perfectly located to enjoy it all.
Traditionally self catering holiday accommodation bookings run weekly Saturday to Saturday but we try to be flexible and normally can deal with, weekend spanning, lets in low season.
